2025 AMJRF Ambassador Application

Welcome

WELCOME TO THE AMJRF AMBASSADOR APPLICATION

Thank you for your interest in the AMJRF Ambassador Program! The mission of the AMJRF Ambassador Program is to create a system for AMJRF to engage with the community and provide athletes the opportunity to perform, teach, and volunteer at events across the US that align with AMJRF’s mission.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age to apply for an AMJRF Ambassador position and must complete the application questionnaire.
  • Applicants aged 14–15 may apply to be considered for an Ambassador in Training position by filling out the application questionnaire.
  • Ambassadors represent AMJRF at national and international events and are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of skill, leadership, and professionalism.

Selection and Representation

The number of ambassadors selected to represent AMJRF may vary based on program needs and event opportunities.

The AMJRF Executive Board will make every effort to communicate ambassador invitations in a timely manner. When AMJRF provides funding for an event, the selection committee—consisting of the current U.S. National Coach, Athlete Advisory Council (AAC) representatives, and a designated board member—will determine who is chosen to attend. If a committee member has a personal connection or conflict of interest with a candidate, they must recuse themselves from the final decision.

When event travel costs are the responsibility of the athlete, invitations will be extended to all current ambassadors. Selection considerations may include:

  • Proximity of the athlete to the event location
  • Athlete availability
  • Frequency of previous event participation
  • Type of event (team vs. individual) and performance needs

**If an athlete is under 18 years old, all communication must include a parent or coach.

Conduct and Expectations

Ambassadors must uphold the highest level of personal conduct while representing AMJRF.
Expectations align with the AMJRF Code of Conduct, with additional guidelines for travel behavior and disciplinary actions.

Disciplinary Actions:

  • Minor Offense: A warning will be issued. Continued misbehavior may result in removal from activities or being sent home at the athlete’s expense.
  • Egregious Offense: Immediate dismissal from the event and return home at the athlete’s expense.

Examples of Minor Offenses:

  • Disrespectful behavior toward trip leaders or teammates
  • Excessive rowdiness or noise in lodging areas
  • Repeated refusal to participate in non-mandatory group activities

Examples of Egregious Offenses:

  • Illegal activity (e.g., underage drinking, theft, vandalism)
  • Destruction of property
  • Refusal to participate in required activities
